The Taming of the Dudebro is 99 cents all week!

Hey everyone, I’ve got some awesome news. The e-book of my boxed set, The Taming of the Dudebro volume 1, is on sale now until Saturday, April 7th for just 99 cents!

Here is the synopsis:

It’s summer fun, romance and hilarity in this boxed set containing the first two stories of this series of YA retellings of Shakespeare’s classic comedies.

In The Taming of the Dudebro, Patricia’s dream is coming true: she is directing her own play, a one-act written by her best friend, Grizz, for the school’s annual Drama Festival. Everything seems to be perfect until her teacher assigns Kurt Minola, the biggest jerk in the school, to work on her play. Kurt is lazy, selfish and irresponsible. The only good thing about him is his attractive twin brother, Ben—but even he can’t seem to change Kurt’s attitude. Kurt’s presence turns Patricia’s dream into a nightmare… until Patricia and Grizz decide to take matters into their own hands, and subject this insufferable surfer-dude to some taming.

Then, in A Midsummer Night’s Dudebro, with the theater festival behind her and graduation around the corner, Grizz Sheridan figured she was done with Kurt Minola. She wants to focus on spending time with her friends and enjoying her last summer before she goes off to college. No such luck now that Kurt’s crushing on her best friend (and his twin brother’s girlfriend), Patricia. It seems like he’s glued to her side no matter where she goes—class, parties, even Prom. Grizz thinks her luck is changing when she begins working at Merry Mule Coffee Roasters and meets super hottie, Dimitri. That is, until a certain surfer boy starts working there, too—and suddenly seems to have turned his romantic interests elsewhere… Will Grizz survive the summer?

Get in the mood for summer and score the book for just 99 cents here!

Description

All It Takes is one night to change the rest of their lives.

Graduating Uni, traveling Europe and buying her own place – these are on Megan Green’s to-do list.

At just twenty-two, becoming a mother isn’t.

Fast cars, expensive clothes and bedding a different women every night – this is how Kian Murphy spends his time when not in the MMA ring. Pre-natal scans and birthing classes are not on his agenda.

After a chance meeting and passionate encounter, Megan finds herself pregnant with Kian’s child. But with a womanizing reputation, and a temper that often leads him into trouble, Kian is hardly boyfriend material, let alone father material.

Now Megan and Kian must work out if they have All It Takes to turn their one-night-stand into a relationship that will connect them for a life-time.

All It Takes is a dual-POV new-adult, contemporary-romance about responsibility, love and discovering who you are in life.

Peanut Blossom Cookie Recipe

Hey, everyone!

Today I will be sharing with you one of my absolutely favorite holiday cookies. I have to make these every year, usually more than once. They are “Peanut Blossoms,” but I’ve also heard them called “Peanut Butter Stars,” because there are some places where you can buy chocolate candies in the shape of stars. Alas, alack, I have never found these treasured chocolates, but Hershey’s Kisses work just as well.

Don't they look delicious? Let's get started!

Don’t they look delicious? Let’s get started!

You will need:

  • ½ Cup butter, softened
  • ½ Cup peanut butter
  • ½ Cup brown sugar
  • ½ Cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ Cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 bag of chocolate stars or Hershey’s kisses

Preheat the oven  350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cream together the butter and brown and white sugar. Add in the egg, vanilla, salt, and baking soda and mix well. Stir in the peanut butter, and then finally the flour.

Roll the dough into small balls, and then roll them in sugar. Place them on a cookie sheet and press your thumb  slightly into each ball to give it an indent. Put the dough into the oven for about six minutes (this will depend on how quickly your oven bakes things). Then place a chocolate kiss in the indentation of each cookie and bake for two minutes more. Adjust as necessary until golden brown.

Enjoy!

Update on A Midsummer Night’s Dudebro

Well, everyone, you know how I kept talking about “A Midsummer Night’s Dudebro” and how it was going to be a novella and out over the summer? As you can tell, it’s not out yet, and that’s because it morphed into a full-length novel! The antics of Kurt, Grizz, Patricia, and the rest of the gang could not be contained to a mere 30,000 words. The Dudebro series is no longer a “novella” series, but will have full length novels interspersed with shorts throughout. This is very exciting for me, as I love these characters and where their stories are going.

I decided to wait to release it until a warmer month so as to get people in the summer mood. It will be coming out in April 2017. I have another exciting announcement to make: “A Midsummer Night’s Duebro” and the rest of the “Dudebro” series are going to be released with Snowy Wings Publishing!  I am so excited to be working with them.

That’s all for now!

Summer Vibes

Hey, everybody! It’s pretty warm today here for April, so I’m channeling summer vibes and writing my newest novella in the Dudebro series, A Midsummer Night’s Dudebro. A large portion of this story will take place on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (“in the warm California sun!”)

This is so much fun for me; a lot of my happiest summer memories took place on the Boardwalk, and Patricia, Grizz, Kurt, and Ben are going to be having some antics here!

Keep an eye out for A Midsummer Night’s Dudebro, coming out this summer!

The Taming of the Dudebro and More!

Welcome to my new website! I’m so excited to announce that I’m publishing The Taming of the Dudebro as a novella today on Amazon!  I will post the links when it is ready for purchase. The cover I got for it is super cute, can’t wait for you all to see it.

I’ve been very busy working on several writing projects, including continuing The Taming of the Dudebro as a novella series! I’m participating in Camp NanoWriMo to try and pump some of my stories out. I hope you all will be seeing a lot of published works from me this year!

If you’re interested in learning more about The Taming of the Dudebro, check out the interview I had with the editor of Perchance to Dream, Lyssa Chiavari.

(Here’s the teaser picture Lyssa Chiavari made for it, which I absolutely am in love with. I want this car now.)
